Soybeans are high in potassium, phosphorus, calcium and vitamins. No plant in the world can produce as much protein and fat as soybean in 4-5 months period.

Soybeans are an excellent substitute for the products of animal origin because of high content of protein and balanced amino acid composition

Soybeans are important as an industrial crop. Soy is ranked first in the world in vegetable oil production. It is used for food purposes and for industrial production - of varnish, paint, soap, plastics, adhesives, synthetic fibers. Currently, 60% of grain is processed into soybean oil.

Soya is a valuable fodder crop. It can be fed to the animals in the form of meal, soybean meal, middlings, milk protein concentrate, green fodder, hay, silage, straw. Oil cake can be used as a universal protein concentrated feed. It contains 1.26 to 1 kg of feed units, 354 g of digestible protein, 28 grams of lysine.

Soy has big agronomic importance. It absorbs nitrogen from the air, leaves behind 60-90 kg/ha of biologically fixed nitrogen, clears the field of weeds and a good precursor for the following crop rotation.
